Alaskans Building Alaska Since 1968
Who We Are
ALASKAN BEGINNINGS
Roy N. Syren Jr. started working in civil construction in 1968. His first project was the Bayshore West subdivision, a new development South of Campbell Lake in Anchorage. After 8 years of working under various contractors, Roy started his own business doing civil construction specializing in underground utilities such as water, sewer, storm drains, and drainage.
To this day PMCM, Inc. is a multi-faceted construction company having built barge docks in 40 foot tides, petroleum storage facilities, moving sewer mains and even loading gravel barges and placing them in tidal zones. This takes Alaskan experience.
ALASKAN FAMILY
At the early age of 12, Roy N. Syren Jr.’s son Roy N Syren III worked in the family business during the summer months when school was out. After graduating college and completing his training to become a commercial pilot he got married and started a family. Being a dedicated family man like his father, Roy III did not want to be away from his family as much as a full time pilot requires. Therefore in 2003 both Roy Jr. and Roy III agreed to keep the business in the family when his father aimed to retire.
Over the next ten years, Roy III pursued more experience and earned his way up from heavy equipment operator to foreman and then to superintendent and building experience that is uniquely Alaskan. Eventually he came in to a leadership role as a full time project manager, estimator, and eventually learning to understand all other aspects of the business including financing and accounting.
On January 1st 2013 Roy Syren III purchased 100% interest in PMCM, Inc. and continues the legacy his father built. Business as usual, Roy N. Syren III continues to use honesty and integrity as the foundation of his business and leads PMCM, Inc. into the future by building, investing and developing new opportunities.
